January 13: The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 816 additional cases of Covid-19.
The recorded positive cases include 413 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 403 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 92 people are positive from operational resorts, and 249 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 100,451 cases, including 5,118 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 7,005 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 354 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 95,056.
According to HPA, there are 21 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 264 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
