January 25: The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 2609 additional cases of Covid-19.
The recorded positive cases include 1427 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 1182 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 109 people are positive from operational resorts, and 783 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 122,777 cases, including 16,666 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 7,584 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 1663 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 105,827.
According to HPA, there are 57 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 271 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
