January 26: The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 2813 additional cases of Covid-19.
The recorded positive cases include 1273 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 1540 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 114 people are positive from operational resorts, and 974 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 125,590 cases, including 16,673 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 7,343 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 2805 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 108,632.
According to HPA, there are 57 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 272 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
