Updating the media about the work on Design and Build of Sh. Foakaidhoo Harbor development, the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) have stated that the project is well underway, with overall 56% project progress.
MTCC also informed that channel dredging operations under the project is completed and that the first shipment of precast concrete blocks required for quay wall construction have been delivered to the project site last week.
Under the project currently, construction of revetment is ongoing.
The project was contracted to MTCC by the Ministry of Planning, Housing, and Infrastructure. The value of the project is MVR 52.7 million.
The scope of the project includes dredging operations of 45,795cbm, construction of a 464m quay wall, a 100m revetment, a 507m breakwater, installation of 2320sqm harbor pavement, installation of streetlights and navigation lights.
