January 30: The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 2838 additional cases of Covid-19.
The recorded positive cases include 1295 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 1543 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 49 people are positive from operational resorts, and 1066 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 136,126 cases, including 17,589 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 7,394 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 2980 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 118,249.
According to HPA, there are 53 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 275 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
