January 31: The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 2754 additional cases of Covid-19.
The recorded positive cases include 1407 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 1347 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 48 people are positive from operational resorts, and 962 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 138,880 cases, including 17,770 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 7,854 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 2573 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 120,821.
According to HPA, there are 63 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 276 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
