February 03: The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 1834 additional cases of Covid-19.
The recorded positive cases include 748 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 1086 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 65 people are positive from operational resorts, and 698 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 145,036 cases, including 17,413 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 5,657 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 2140 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 127,330.
According to HPA, there are 60 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 280 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
