February 05: The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 1589 additional cases of Covid-19.
The recorded positive cases include 400 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 1189 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 80 people are positive from operational resorts, and 843 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 148,580 cases, including 17,637 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 5,617 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 1686 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 130,649.
According to HPA, there are 52 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 281 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
