February 09: The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 1096 additional cases of Covid-19.
The recorded positive cases include 338 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 758 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 77 people are positive from operational resorts, and 549 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 154,511 cases, including 16,095 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 4,320 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 1368 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 138,117.
According to HPA, there are 60 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 286 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
