Arrival passengers to India.
Including the Maldives, India has granted quarantine free travel for fully vaccinated travelers from selected 82 countries that have an agreement with India on mutual recognition of certificates for vaccination using nationally recognized or WHO recognized vaccines.

According to the revised guidelines issued by the union health ministry, international travelers will no longer need to quarantine for seven days or get tested at the airport if they come from an at-risk country. The ministry also stated that international travelers will require to upload a certificate of completing the full primary vaccination besides uploading a negative RT-PCR report (taken 72 hrs prior to journey). The vaccination certificates of travelers from countries that do not have an agreement but exempt fully vaccinated Indians from quarantine will also be accepted on the “basis of reciprocity”.

The list of countries includes Australia, Canada, Cuba, Denmark, Hong Kong, Iran, Maldives, Israel, Mexico, Nepal, New Zealand, Oman, Qatar, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, United States of America, among others.

According to the new guidelines, only 2% of the passengers selected at random will have to give their samples for testing on arrival and they will be allowed to leave the airport without waiting for the reports. But if on arrival the passenger is symptomatic, the individual will be immediately isolated and taken to a medical facility.

The new guidelines will come into effect from February 14 onwards.
