Three more police officers reported positive to Covid-19, from Kulhudhuffushi.
The first case of covid-19 in Kulhudhuffushi was also reported from the Kulhudhuffushi police station, and it was reported that the police officer who was initially reported positive to covid-19 had travelled between, Ha. Baarah, Ha. Dhidhdhoo, Ha. Hoarafushi, Hdh. Kurinbi, and Sh. Fonadhoo.
The islands were then brought under monitoring and the islands were released from monitoring status after concluding contact tracing related to the case.
As per the HEOC, the police officer who had symptoms were tested, and the results were confirmed as positive. Although the police officer did not travel to Male’ he had travelled to regional police stations.
From the information received, around 30 police officers are in quarantine, due to a police officer being tested positive. From which, 3 police have been tested positive as well.
Speaking to ‘Ras Online’, a police officer has said that the positive cases are suspected to be related to some police officers who travelled from Male’ from a special permit.
