February 21: The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 656 additional cases of Covid-19.
The recorded positive cases include 79 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 577 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 48 people are positive from operational resorts, and 497 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 165,729 cases, including 14,988 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 4,191 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 702 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 150,436.
According to HPA, there are 24 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 292 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
