February 22: The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 796 additional cases of Covid-19.
The recorded positive cases include 73 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 723 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 22 people are positive from operational resorts, and 669 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 166,525 cases, including 15,211 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 4,171 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 572 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 151,009.
According to HPA, there are 24 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 292 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
