October 9th; Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives reports 66 positive cases from 1,232 samples taken within 24 hours. This includes 54 Maldivians and 12 Foreigners.
Total of positive cases records 60 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 06 people infected outside the greater Male’ area.
With additional cases of the COVID-19, confirmed COVID-19 cases in Maldives have increased up to 10,808. This includes 1,113 active cases to COVID-19 in Maldives.
HPA also reported recovery of 65 infected people in the last 24 hours, which adds up to a total of 9,654 people recovered.
There are active COVID-19 cases in 19 resorts and in 21 residential islands outside of the greater Male’ area. The active cases in resorts include 10 Tourists and 16 staff.
Maldives has recorded 34 deaths due to complications of Covid-19.
