February 23: The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 971 additional cases of Covid-19.
The recorded positive cases include 45 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 926 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 43 people are positive from operational resorts, and 862 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 167,496 cases, including 15,871 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 4,106 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 310 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 151,319.
According to HPA, there are 29 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 293 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
