February 24: The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 628 additional cases of Covid-19.
The recorded positive cases include 40 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 588 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 49 people are positive from operational resorts, and 501 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 168,124 cases, including 15,380 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 3,374 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 1118 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 152,437.
According to HPA, there are 23 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 294 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
