The total number of Covid-19 fatalities has risen to 296 in the Maldives with 2 fatalities reported today.
Out of the two fatalities reported, the 79-year-old Maldivian female passed away this evening while she was admitted for treatment at Sh. Covid management facility said the Health Protection Authority (HPA).
She passed away at 03:22 pm today.
The second fatality was reported at 4:55 pm today. HPA said that the 78-year-old Maldivian male who passed away was also admitted to Sh. Covid Management Facility.
This also marks the 19th death in the month of February so far.
The Maldives reported the first death to Covid-19 on April 29, 2020.
