February 26: The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 517 additional cases of Covid-19.
The recorded positive cases include 63 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 454 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 44 people are positive from operational resorts, and 382 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 169,148 cases, including 15,211 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 2,842 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 660 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 153,628.
According to HPA, there are 14 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 296 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
