October 10th; Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives reports 51 positive cases from 1,338 samples taken within 24 hours. This includes 35 Maldivians and 16 Foreigners.
Total of positive cases records 44 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 07 people infected outside the greater Male’ area.
With additional cases of the COVID-19, confirmed COVID-19 cases in Maldives have increased up to 10,859. This includes 1,135 active cases to COVID-19 in Maldives.
HPA also reported recovery of 29 infected people in the last 24 hours, which adds up to a total of 9,683 people recovered.
There are active COVID-19 cases in 20 resorts and in 22 residential islands outside of the greater Male’ area. The active cases in resorts include 10 Tourists and 17 staff.
Maldives has recorded 34 deaths due to complications of Covid-19.
