Regarding parliament member Ikram Hassan’s attack towards the Rapid Response Team (RRT) official, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives raised indirect concerns through a public statement.
As per the HPA statement released on Saturday night, the services provided by the health officials in response to the Covid-19 pandemic aims to provide a caring kind service while maintaining professionalism.
HPA also assured the safety of the health officials working in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, HPA has requested support from everyone, to ensure that the safety of the health officials is maintained.
Meanwhile, MP Ikram Hassan is accused of attacking an RRT official, during his COVID sample that was taken at Maafannu Madharusa. Although MP has denied his accusation, those who have seen the incident have said that MP attacked the RRT official twice and raised his voice disrespectfully.
The incident is being investigated at Maldives Police services.
