Speaking at the press conference, Dr. Nazla said that the HPA will ensure the safety of the health officials working in response to COVID-19. Dr. Nazla also said that assault and harassment faced by the health officials will be taken seriously under consideration by HPA.

Furthermore, Dr. Nazla has also said that any case of assault and harassment reported to HPA will be forwarded to Maldives Police Service for further investigations, although so far no cases were referred for ‘further investigation’ as per HPA.
