The Health Protection Agency (HPA) announced that a hospitalized COVID-19 patient at Dharumavantha Hospital passed away today afternoon.

As per HPA, the deceased was a 56-year-old Maldivian woman, who was under treatment in Dharumavantha Hospital 11th Floor. HPA also confirmed this as the 35h death from complications of COVID.

She passed away at 14:20, today.

The Maldives has reported over 10, 808 positive cases to COVID so far, with 1,113 active cases. As per the recent reports, there are 74 hospitalized patients under treatment.

During the last month, the average per day positive cases has dropped to 200 cases, meanwhile, since the beginning of this month, the average per day cases have dropped to 75 cases.
