Vice President Faisal Naseem, on Saturday afternoon, met with members of the Fuvahmulah City Council and held extensive discussions on the ongoing developmental projects in the city. The meeting took place at the Secretariat of the Fuvahmulah City Council.
Discussions at the meeting were mainly focused on the ongoing road development project, creating job opportunities for the youth, and improving healthcare and education sector services. The council members also discussed with the Vice President ways to resume stalled PSIP projects.
Speaking about the administration’s efforts to create new jobs, the Vice President asked the council members to exercise impartiality in hiring. He also went on to speak about the importance of creating more opportunities for people with disabilities and the underprivileged.
The Vice President was accompanied at the meeting by Dr. Ahmed Zahir, the Minister of Islamic Affairs, who spoke about the Ihya Forum held Friday evening in Fuvahmulah City to renew and revive the spirit of Ramadan. He thanked the City Council for their support in organizing the event.
