October 12th; the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives reports 49 positive cases from 1,303 samples taken within 24 hours. This includes 33 Maldivians and 16 Foreigners.

A total of positive cases records 43 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 06 people infected outside the greater Male’ area.

With additional cases of the COVID-19, confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Maldives have increased up to 10,943. This includes 1,118 active cases to COVID-19 in the Maldives.

HPA also reported the recovery of 41 infected people in the last 24 hours, which adds up to a total of 9,783 people recovered.

There are active COVID-19 cases in 20 resorts and in 21 residential islands outside of the greater Male’ area. The active cases in resorts include 12 Tourists and 19 staff.

Maldives has recorded 35 deaths due to complications of Covid-19.
