Commissioner of Police, Mohamed Hameed announced that Maldives Police Service has seized over 100 kilos of drugs from a sea vessel near Hulhumale’.
As per the commissioner of Police, drugs; heroin & methamphetamine were seized through the operation jointly by the Drug Enforcement Department (DED), Drug intelligence, and Marine Police.
Police have seized almost 100 kilos of drugs last week as well from special operations against narcotics conducted in Addu city.
Moreover, through these special operations against narcotics conducted across the country with intelligence support, several different types of drugs have been seized along with many people being arrested.
