The Government of Maldives and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan today signed the Agreement on Mutual Exemption of Visa Requirements.
The agreement allows for the exemption from visa requirements for both countries' nationals, for single or multiple entries, exits, or transit for both countries' nationals, for a period of 30 days.
At the ceremony which was held today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Agreement was signed on behalf of the Government of Maldives by His Excellency Ahmed Khaleel, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, and on behalf of the Government of Kazakhstan by His Excellency Nurlan Zhalgasbayev, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the Maldives
Speaking at the ceremony today, State Minister Khaleel thanked the Government of Kazakhstan for their commitment to further strengthen the bilateral relationship between the two countries and mentioned that the signing of this agreement is an important milestone that will facilitate stronger people to people contact, and increase business and investment opportunities for both the Maldives and Kazakhstan.
