Mr. Zhang Lizhong, Chinese Ambassador to the Maldives, assures that Free Trade Agreements (FTA) do not disrupt any country's trade ties with its trading partners.
Referring to the statement by Minister Fayyaz about the FTA between China and Maldives, Mr. Zhang said that FTA is of mutual benefit and high-quality. He further said that having an FTA will follow the international practice and will enhance the economic and trade ties to a new level.
Mr. Zang highlighted that China has 18 FTAs signed with 22 partners, and so far these agreements have not disrupted any country's trade ties with its trading partners.
Meanwhile, speaking to the media, Economic Minister Fayyaz has re said that the Free Trade Agreement between China and Maldives will be affecting the trade agreements between other foreign countries.
