Addressing on the occasion of the National day, Minister of Home Affairs, Sheikh Imran Abdulla, has stated that the risk of social behaviour of the youth affects the Nation than the risk of having a foreign country's invasion.
His statement to address on the National day was sent via a video clip to the National day ceremony held in H.A Utheemu. In his statement Sheikh Imran Abdulla, he highlighted the challenges faced by the risk of social behaviour of the youth, affecting the Nation. He further stated that this has put the Nation into more at risk than having the risk of a foreign country's influence over the independence and sovereignty of the Maldives.
Sheikh Imran Abdulla called everyone to take responsibility and stop the spreading of extremism, drug trafficking, and abusive behaviour towards children and women, in order to develop the nation further.
Further speaking, Sheikh Imran also called not to bring the influence of the different thoughts and beliefs into the religion followed and the independence and sovereignty of the Maldives.
