A man who passed away today afternoon is reported as the 37th death from Covid-19 in the Maldives.
The 80-year-old man was admitted to Hulhumale’ medical facility for further treatment to Covid, while he passed away at 3.50 pm today afternoon. The Health Protection Agency (HPA) confirms that this would be the 37th death from complications of Covid.
So far over 11,000 have been reported positive to Covid-19 in the Maldives, while 1,002 cases are currently active. From which, 348 people are in isolation facilities and 39 people are admitted and treated in hospitals.
As per the recent records of HPA, a total of 10,164 people have been recovered so far.
