Hdh. Kulhudhuffushi council has signed a contract to implement the largest housing project outside the capital Male’ city.

At a special ceremony held at the Kulhudhuffushi council today, the projects were awarded to Dhonbez Private Limited and China's RD23 Methodological Construction Group Co. Ltd of China.

After the land handover ceremony held today, the council said the housing project will be the largest housing project ever implemented on an island outside the Male’ area.

The 11-story five towers will have 400 apartments with three bedrooms, three bathrooms, living rooms, kitchens, laundry, and stores. In addition, bicycle parking for each apartment is also allocated.

The project was awarded on a design and build basis at a cost of MVR 439،991،160 and is to be completed within 540 days.

The project is implemented as a part of the government's Public Sector Investment Project (PSIP).
