Within the past 24 hours, 3 physical attacks through violent crimes occurred across the Maldives.
This includes a violent attack on the Managing Director of Male’ Industrial Zone, Mr. Ibrahim Rasheed. The incident was reported to Maldives Police Service around 10:51 pm on Sunday night. Mr. Ibrahim Rasheed is currently seeking medical treatment at the ADK hospital for his injuries.
Furthermore, in a group violent attack at midnight in Addu City, a man has been seriously injured. His 2 fingers were amputated along with serious physical injuries. The incident was reported to Maldives Police Service around 12:28 am on Sunday night. He is currently seeking medical treatment at the Addu Equatorial hospital for his injuries.
Along with this, a violent attack between 2 foreigners in Sh. Foakaidhoo has injured one person. As per Maldives Police Service, a 43-year-old Bangladesh man is arrested and the court has extended 15 days for his detained period, for further investigations.
