The High Commissioner of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to the Maldives, Rear Admiral Nazmul Hassan paid a courtesy call on Vice President Faisal Naseem on Monday morning at the President’s Office.
Where Mr. Faisal congratulated Nazmul Hassan on his appointment as the High Commissioner and expressed his gratitude towards the Government of Bangladesh for their friendly relations and assistance provided to the Maldives.
He further highlighted the positive contributions of Bangladeshi expatriates working and residing in the Maldives and thanked the Government of Bangladesh for their ongoing support to the Maldives' worker regularization and repatriation programs.
Speaking with the High Commissioner, Mr. Faisal gave the state's assurance on the safety and security of all expatriates working and residing in the Maldives.
During the meeting, the High Commissioner of Bangladesh also thanked the Government of the Maldives for the effort and assistance provided to help Bangladeshi Nationals working and residing in the Maldives during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
The Vice President and High Commissioner further discussed taking forward bilateral cooperation in a range of fields from higher education, agriculture, and other avenues for increased cooperation and collaboration.
