The government aims to implement all development projects planned in line with the PSIP budget this year, Finance Minister Ibrahim Ameer said.

Finance Minister Ibrahim Ameer said this while answering questions in Parliament today.

Speaking about the government's development projects, the Minister said many projects have gone to the tendering stage. Although the process has been delayed for various reasons, he hopes to hand over the project works very soon, he said.

Minister further said that he has not decided to cancel implemention of any budgeted PSIP projects, despite being asked to reduce expenditure. However, due to cash flow constraints, the projects are being implemented slowly, and the government is closely monitoring this, said Minister Ameer.

The minister alsp noted that the expenditure is higher than budgeted with the increase in oil prices in the market.
