Minister of Housing, National Planning and Infrastructure Mohammed Aslam today said that Maldives's development is moving faster than ever.

He made the statement while speaking at the ceremony to handover R. Ungofaaru power house to Fenaka Cooperation. In his speech, Minister Mohamed Aslam highlighted that in his own working life, he had never seen a time when development was proceeding at a more distinct pace.

Aslam said the people want the speed of development but there are various challenges in the projects. However, despite the challenges, the government is moving forward at a fast pace, he said.

"The speed of development in this country is what we want. We need to continue development at this fast pace," said Aslam.

In addition, Aslam said there is no islands in Maldives where development work is not going on. He then assured that there will be no village without water and sewerage services by next year.
