The Finance Ministry has stated that so far, 300 million Rufiyaa loans have been released for Small to Medium Enterprises, (SME) through the economic recovery package.
As per the recent records of the Finance Ministry, 300 million Rufiyaa loans have been granted for 1815 applicants, through the SME Development Finance Corporation Pvt Ltd (SDFC). From which 283.2 million Rufiyaa was granted for 1254 medium enterprises and 16.8 million Rufiyaa was granted for 561 small businesses.
Further detailing, the Finance Ministry has stated that 110.3 million was released for businesses owned and run by women.
The economic recovery package announced by the Ministry of Finance provides financial aid for SMEs and self-employed/freelance individuals that are facing cash flow constraints due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
