The Vice President said this in a tweet after taking part in the census.
The Vice President said that the census is essential for the development of the country and social and economic decision-making. Hence he urged all citizens to participate in the census.
The census of the Greater Male’ area has now begun. The census is scheduled to continue until the 27th of this month.
The Bureau of Statistics said it would make a second visit to get details of people and places of work after the initial listing. The census will collect information on all residents of the Maldives.
