Member of Parliament for Feydhoo constituency Mohamed Nihad has stated that even if you write graffiti on walls, the projects being carried out by India in Addu City cannot be stopped.

Nihad stated this commenting on "India out" graffiti being written on the walls of the office of the Speaker of the Parliament Mohamed Nasheed in Addu City Hithadhoo, the Addu City Council building, and on the houses of Addu City mayor Ali Nizar and Hithadhoo central district MP Ahmed Rasheed.

Pointing at this, Nihad said that the evidence of former president Abdulla Yameen's visit to Addu City has started appearing as soon as he left. And so a series of violence against people's property and their mental well-being has started according to Nihad. He asked Yameen to end this violence.

"No matter how much you draw on walls, cars and even people's bodies, the projects of India cannot be stopped," said Nihad.

"India out" campaign is a campaign led by Abdulla Yameen, calling for the Indian military in the Maldives to leave. President Ibrahim Solih has declared the campaign is a threat to national security and he issued a decree banning it and has asked the security forces to put an end it.

In his trip to Addu City, Yameen has spoken in ways that promote the campaign, saying if all the houses in Addu had "India out" on their walls at the same time, the police would be overburdened.
