Maldives Police Service requested public support for further investigation of the dead body found at sea, on Friday morning.
As per the Police, the dead body of the 31-year old local male was found at sea near IGMH around 10:40.
A police message read that since it could not be confirmed that the death was by natural causes, further investigations will be continued. A post mortem examination will also be conducted as well.
His family has accused the incident as a murder case along with visible brutal injuries on the dead body.
Maldives Police Service has requested public support from anyone who has been to Rasfannu Beach, near IGMH on Thursday 9 am to 12 pm, and from anyone who has any information related to the incident. Whoever is willing to support the Police with the investigation can reach the emergency number of Maldives Police Service 119, or Serious and Organised Crime Department of the Police on 9911099.
