The main ruling party, MDP has stated that even though it was not on the manifesto of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, overcoming the pandemic has been a great achievement for the government.

In a statement released by the party regarding the fourth anniversary of this presidency, the party stated that this is the fourth anniversary of Ibrahim Mohamed Solih's presidency, which brought back the rights ensured by the multi-party system after a presidency in which these rights were being lost.

The party sent well wishes to the President, MDP members and all the citizens of the country on the occasion.

In the statement, the party noted that these four years have been four years in which all islands and citizens have been treated equally while a large percentage of the manifesto was brought into reality. And that the biggest achievement outside the manifesto was becoming a model nation in overcoming COVID-19.

Furthermore, the party stated that in these four years, despite the various obstacles faced in the international sphere, projects were carried out in the islands to provide the people with basic necessities equally. And as such, areas like health, electricity, roads, harbours and various infrastructure utilities were lifted to another level.

MDP also noted the skill training programs and the free degree programs being spread across the country by the government, bringing good revolutionary changes to the education sector.
