Maldives Police Service arrested two people from a drug bust through a special operation against narcotics.
The special operation against narcotics was conducted jointly by Hulhumale’ Police Station, Police Intelligence, and Special Operation Police, following intelligence information received on drug trafficking.
Police arrested two 30-year-old local men from this operation.
As per the information by the Police, two housing flat searched during the operation, and Police seized eight rubber packets suspected of having a bit of heroin in it along with empty rubber packets.
Police also checked five cars during the special operation, and 34 beer cans, 33 bottles suspected of having a homemade beer, 58 bottles of alcohol, and 51 pieces of cellophane, suspected of being packed with cannabis, was seized from one of the five vehicles.
Hulhumale’ Police Station continues to investigate further on the case.
