Former president of MDP, Dr. Ibrahim Didi has stated that real development is the development of human resources.
Dr. Didi, who had been the Fisheries Minister in the previous MDP government, said this in relation to the number of students participating in the current government's free degree scheme going above 15,000.
Dr. Didi, who was a founding member of MDP, said that more than 15,000 students getting free degrees shows that the benefits of the tax money taken by the government from the people goes directly to the people.
Of the 15,000 who have taken part in the free degree program of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih's government, 10,050 are female students while 4,950 are male, according to the Ministry of Higher Education.
The government has stated that 5,163 students have already gotten their degrees in this program. Free education up to the degree level have been a presidential vow of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
