October 24th; the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives reports 84 positive cases from 2,231 samples taken within 24 hours. This includes 26 Maldivians and 58 Foreigners.
A total of positive cases records 30 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 54 people infected outside the greater Male’ area.
With additional cases of the COVID-19, confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Maldives have increased up to 11,505. This includes 937 active cases to COVID-19 in the Maldives.
HPA also reported the recovery of 52 infected people in the last 24 hours, which adds up to a total of 10,524 people recovered.
There are active Covid-19 cases in 24 resorts and in 22 residential islands outside of the greater Male’ area. 26 Tourists and 82 staff have been tested positive for covid-19 in the resorts.
So far, Maldives has recorded 37 deaths due to complications of Covid-19.
