Sri Lanka has invited the Maldives to invest in various industries of Sri Lanka.
President Ranil Wickremesinghe extended the invitation to the Maldives during his meeting with Vice President Faisal Naseem, on his official visit to Sri Lanka.
During the meeting, Ranil said that Sri Lanka and the Maldives have a very close relationship and there are alot of opportunities for the Maldives to invest in various industries of Sri Lanka. Ranil also spoke about opportunities for the Maldivian businessmen to attract investments in agriculture and tourism industry of Sri Lanka.
During the meeting, the two discussed further strengthening Cooperation between both countries in the fight against drugs. Ranil also said that he would invite President Solih to visit Sri Lanka after his house, which was damaged during the protests, was repaired.
