President of the Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) Mohamed Nasheed has stated that the party will remain in rule for ages.

Speaking at the event held in GDh. Thinadhoo's MDP office, Nasheed stated that MDP will remain in rule for ages in Maldives. And that there is no possibility of MDP losing politically and that he has not lost hope.

"The most important and the only reason we should remain steadfast in this work is to implement this party's policies and work to improve the conditions of the people, to make them better than they are now," Speaker of Parliament Mohamed Nasheed said.

MDP's senior leader, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has announced that he will run for president in the presidential elections of the coming year. Meanwhile, the MDP President, President Mohamed Nasheed has also expressed his interest in contesting the upcoming presidential election.

It was believed that Nasheed traveled to Thinadhoo on Friday to kickstart his primary campaign. However, at the event held in Thinadhoo, he did not speak on the matter.
