Feydhoo MP Nihad has responded to Speaker of Parliament Mohamed Nasheed's criticism of the incumbent government establishing water supply and sewerage systems in low populated islands.
"For a sewerage system in an island populated by 60 people, 60 million rufiyaa is spent. In my opinion, that money is better spent on housing and projects that provide income in more populated islands," said Nasheed.
Nasheed said this in an event held at GDh. Thinadhoo where he had visited after a long time.
Criticizing Nasheed, Member of Parliament for Feydhoo constituency Nihad said that all islands of Maldives have Maldivian people and in those islands there are large numbers of MDP members.
"What is going on with you, (former) President Nasheed? If MDP is prevented from getting presidency, that would hurt Maldives and its people! How can one be a prime minister where there are no citizens? Do not destroy!" Nihad said to Nasheed.
