October 27th; the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives reports 35 positive cases from 1,517 samples taken within 24 hours. This includes 24 Maldivians and 11 Foreigners.

A total of positive cases records 26 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 09 people infected outside the greater Male’ area.

With additional cases of the COVID-19, confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Maldives have increased up to 11,567. This includes 871 active cases to COVID-19 in the Maldives.

HPA also reported the recovery of 89 infected people in the last 24 hours, which adds up to a total of 10,652 people recovered.

There are active Covid-19 cases in 23 resorts and in 23 residential islands outside of the greater Male’ area. 28 Tourists and 83 staff have been tested positive to covid-19 in the resorts.

So far, Maldives has recorded 37 deaths due to complications of Covid-19.
