Maldives Police Service arrested three people from the armed group of men who hijacked a fishing boat in the L. Atoll sea on Sunday night.
Through the investigations, two people aged 25-years, and a 22-year-old person have been arrested by Police on Monday night.
A group of men forced themself hijacking the fishing boat for not processing the payment of the boat as per the agreement made.
Police received the report of a group of people who traveled on a speedboat, forcing their way on a fishing boat in the Vadinolhu Sea (L. Atoll sea) around 11:55 pm on Sunday, and although the group forced their way to the fishing boat armed, no violence took place.
