President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has stated that he will not be a slave to anyone.

The President said this while speaking at his presidential primary campaign rally held at the party's main center (MDP Haruge) last night.

At the rally, President Solih said he has two things he will never give up during his rule. He said that one of them is to not be a slave to anyone and that he had said he would not be a slave to anyone even in his speech at the Congress where he was handed the MDP ticket.

The second thing, the President said, is advice given by one of his teachers, which is to be a listener. The President said he would be and always remain a listener and would make decisions after listening to everyone.

The President’s comments come at a time the opposition coalition and even former President Mohamed Nasheed have criticized the President for not reacting to things.
