Flag mounting ceremony held at the memorial monument to celebrate the occasion of Victory Day, on 3rd November 6:30 am.
The ceremony was attended by Defense Minister Mariya Ahmed Didi, Commissioner of Police Mohamed Hameed, Chief of Defense Force Major General Abdulla Shamaal, Vice Chief of Defense Force Brigadier General Abdul Raheem Abdul Latheef, as well as officers from MNDF.
Along with flag mounting, a seven-gun salute was performed with a prayer to conclude the ceremony.
The 3rd of November, Victory Day, is celebrated to give a tribute to every Maldivian and heroic soldier who fought for the country. Maldivians are forever indebted to the brave martyrs who gave their lives for the nation.
