Maafushi Island reports additional two positive cases.

The two additional positive cases were reported, from a PCR test done on a departure guest residing in Maafushi Island. The two guests are now kept isolated following the PCR test result.

Maafushi island reported the initial positive case on 28th October from a PCR test done two days before on a departure guest.

Since the border reopening, Maafushi Island has seen the most number of tourist arrivals to its guest houses. Although the border was reopened on July 15th, guesthouses were permitted to reopen on the 15th of October.

Meanwhile, many positive cases have been reported from tourist facilities. So far, Kandima Maldives resort has reported the highest number of positive cases reported from a tourist facility.
